Home - Final word
On behalf of the Scientific and Organizing Committees of the 4th International Conference on Attosecond Physics, we thank you all for your participation to ATTO2013.
You made it a great success with a record number of 273 paper submissions of high quality and great diversity. The attendance was also historical with 352 participants originating from 31 countries, showing a significant increase as compared to the ~200 attendees in previous editions of the ATTO conference. More than 1/3 of this attendance was made of students, which is good news for the future of the field. These high numbers of submissions and registrations reflect the rapid growth of our research field, where new frontiers are being pushed outwards thanks to the rapid advances in ultrafast laser and XUV sources, metrology and detection schemes.
The joint events on July 8, 2013, had also a large attendance: 247 participants to the final meeting of the ATTOFEL European Network, and 359 to the special Symposium dedicated to the many scientific achievements of two pioneers of our field, Pierre Agostini and Alfred Maquet.
We hope that ATTO2013 helped stimulating international research cooperation and exchanges and will constitute a memorable event for the attosecond community in the privileged environment of the “City of Light”.
We thank you again for making this event successful and hope to see many of you in the next editions of the ATTO conference.
