On behalf of the international scientific committee of the Attosecond Physics Conference, we are very pleased to announce the 4th edition of the conference, ATTO2013, which will take place this year in, France.
This conference will be held from Monday 8 till Friday 12 july 2013, in the renowned. Located in the heart of Paris in a nice environment between Tour Eiffel and Quartier Latin, the conference room is perfectly fitted to accommodate the continuously growing community involved in Attosecond Physics. The conference center will also easily promote interaction with our industrial sponsors who will be present during the conference and social events will be organized to foster further interactions.
ATTO2013 will cover all aspects of Attosecond Physics from sources and metrology to applications. It will include the following research topics:
(i) Few-cycle laser pulse generation and application
(ii) Single attosecond pulse generation and characterization
(iii) High harmonic spectroscopy
(iv) Electronic and nuclear dynamics in strong fields
(v) Ultrafast phenomena on the attosecond and femtosecond timescales
(vi) New sources and applications of coherent ultrafast X-rays (XFELs...)
ATTO2013 will be coupled with a meeting of the ATTOFEL European Network which will further promote interactions between different communities of common interest in Attosecond Science.
As a related event to ATTO2013, a special Symposium will be held in the afternoon of Monday 8 to honor the many scientific achievements of two pioneers, Pierre Agostini and Alfred Maquet. The symposium will consist of talks and reminiscences by colleagues and friends on the impact that these two extraordinary careers have had on shaping attosecond science.
Join us to hear the latest advances in Attosecond Science and also to celebrate Bastille Day (French national holiday) on July 14!
We are looking forward to welcoming you to the conference.
Co-chairs of ATTO2013
Pascal Salières and Eric Constant
Further information on the conference will be regularly posted on this website.
